About Us

Latino Network Action Fund is Latine led 501(c)4 organization created to advocate for legislation, regulations, and programs that promote the general welfare of the Latine Community in Oregon.

The Latine population is the fastest-growing minority group in Oregon and now accounts for 12% of Oregon’s total population. Latines* face many challenges, but the community’s values of strong family connections, culture, language, spirituality, and inherent ganas* (values-driven motivation) promote resilience and success.

LNAF develops and advocates for more equitable policy solutions related to education and early childhood programs, immigrant rights, criminal justice reform, climate justice, and democracy reform issues. LNAF prioritizes these issues using a strategic lens grounded in racial equity and community self-determination. Through an integrated voter engagement strategy, LNAF aims to increase representation of Latine leaders in elected office and will hold elected officials accountable to advancing issues prioritized by our community.

Our Mission

Latino Network Action Fund seeks to create a more representative democracy in Oregon.

LNAF was created to lift and advocate for the voices of the Latine community in Oregon. Our goal is to advance policy solutions to support current and historically underserved communities in areas of education, immigration, criminal justice reform, electoral engagement, and climate justice.

LNAF empowers community members to participate in our democratic process and champion community leaders to reach positions of power for a more representative democracy.

Get Involved!

The Latine population is one of the fastest-growing populations in the nation. We make up nearly 14% of the state’s population here in Oregon. It’s important that the makeup of our government reflects our community. At Latino Network Action Fund, we want to empower your voice through civic engagement.

The decisions you make in an election decide who will lead our state and local governments.

Our goal is to increase the amount of Latine voters in the metro area and throughout the state. We can help you navigate the process to register to vote and inform you of the upcoming election cycles that will affect you and your family.

How can you help?

Help us improve our democratic process and champion community leaders to represent our underserved communities.

  • The participating organizations are doing the work in the priority areas, have a history with Meyer Memorial Trust, and have mutual trust after collaborating for years. They represent a history of Oregon’s political power that has been building for years over decades, approach the work in similar ways, and have agreement on strategy and approach. We view this as bigger than us, and we want to extend that trust to our communities.

We’ve worked in these communities for decades, approaching this work with humility and deferring to communities’ lived experiences on this agenda. We’re building the conversation. Our goal is to unite our community to raise the best ideas, and we have a history of doing that.

  • Currently, the project is being funded by Oregon-based foundations, such as Meyer Memorial Trust.

  • We will securely store your information to create a database of interested and affected community members from around the state who will be engaged in the future.
