Endorsements

Latino Network Action Fund (LNAF) advocates for more equitable policy solutions related to education and early childhood programs, immigrant rights, criminal justice reform, climate justice, and democracy reform issues. LNAF prioritizes these issues using a strategic lens grounded in racial equity and community self-determination. Through an integrated voter engagement strategy, LNAF aims to increase representation of Latino/a/x leaders in elected office and will hold elected officials accountable to advancing issues prioritized by our community.

Why does LNAF endorse candidates?

For far too long, the Latino community has not enjoyed a seat at the decision-making table. Lack of representation perpetuates cycles of underinvestment in Latino communities across the State of Oregon, further marginalizing and erasing Black, Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, and people of color. LNAF conducts an endorsement process to assess a candidate’s political platform and personal values and principles. The endorsement process and decision offers voters guidance to better understand a candidate’s policy priorities and promises. LNAF endorses candidates whose values and policy priorities align and advance LNAF’s mission.
