We appreciate your interest in seeking an endorsement from Latino Network Action Fund (LNAF).

Submitting your application is not a guarantee of an endorsement from LNAF. Below is the timeline for our 

2024 May Primary endorsement process:

  • – January 8, 2024: LNAF endorsement application opens
  • – February 16, 2024: Endorsement application deadline
  • – February 19 – 23, 2024: Board and staff reviews applications
  • – February 29, 2024: Invitations for interview via email
  • – March 4 – 8, 2024: candidate interviews by board (hold these dates on your calendar)
  • – March 11, 2024: formal endorsements announced by LNAF

Criteria for Endorsement Request

Below is the criteria to be considered for an endorsement:

  • – Your race must be within the geographical areas of Clackamas County, Multnomah County, Washington County, and Deschutes County
  • – You/your campaign must be in alignment with LNAF’s mission, vision, values, and issue areas
  • – You must be an advocate for fighting against anti-immigrant and xenophobic rhetoric
  • – You/your campaign must be intentional and authentic in how you engage with BIPOC communities
  • – Demonstrate community and partner support, sharing the campaign’s plan to build a team of staff and volunteers
  • – Provide a realistic campaign plan, win number and fundraising strategy

 

Meeting the above criteria is not a guarantee of an interview or endorsement. There are various of factors to consider, which include, but are not limited to:

  • – If your race is a priority race of LNAF
  • – Capacity of LNAF staff and board
  • – Competitiveness, viability, and impact of your race
  • – Your campaign’s policy platform and understanding of issues affecting the Latinx community
  • – Answers to the endorsement questionnaire
  • – Interview with endorsement committee
  • – Connection with other partners and culturally specific organizations
  • – Past voting history on issues and record of being a “champion” to your communities
